G4 Media, LLC is an in-name-only division of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming that maintains the programming of G4, a defunct 24-hour cable and satellite channel dedicated to video games, as well as TechTV/ZDTV, its previous competitor.
NBCUniversal owns a majority stake in G4 Media, with Dish Network owning a minority stake of about 12% because its former parent firm owned both TechTV and Dish Network. Prior to the merger of Comcast and NBCUniversal, Comcast controlled the network, which was previously known as G4 Media, Inc.
On November 16, 2021, the network officially revived, with the broadcaster now operated through Comcast Spectacor, only to close again on November 18th, 2022.

- Select “Find”, then click on “Search”.
- Search for the streaming service that you signed up for.
- Click on the streaming service app from the list then click “download”.
- Once it automatically downloads and installs, click on Open.

Over the past several months, we worked hard to generate that interest in G4, but viewership is low and the network has not achieved sustainable financial results.
Was G4 Cancelled again?
On July 24, 2020, a revival of the G4 brand was announced; the network relaunched on November 16, 2021. On October 16, 2022, it was announced that Comcast would soon be shutting down the network. Its final day of operation was November 18, 2022.
